Mentorship
Artist Mentorship
There are moments in every creative life when another pair of eyes, and another way of seeing, can make all the difference.
My work as an artist, educator, and mentor is rooted in the belief that paying attention changes us. Sometimes what is needed is practical feedback on a body of work. Sometimes it is help navigating a transition, preparing for an exhibition, clarifying an idea, or finding the thread that connects scattered pieces into a coherent practice. Sometimes it is simply a thoughtful conversation with someone who understands the long arc of an artistic life.
I work with artists, photographers, educators, writers, and other creative practitioners who are seeking depth rather than speed. My role is not to tell you what your work should become, but to help you recognize what is already emerging and support you in bringing it into the world with greater clarity and confidence.
Our conversations are shaped by your work and your questions. Depending on where you are, we may discuss artistic direction, creative process, writing, exhibitions, teaching, grants and residencies, professional development, or the ongoing challenge of the inner work of building a creative life that feels coherent and sustainable.
Ways We Can Work Together
Creative Thread Session
$175
A single 60-minute conversation.
Ideal if you have a specific question, are facing an important decision, would like feedback on your work, or simply want a thoughtful conversation with an experienced artist and educator.
Three-Session Mentorship
$495
Three one-hour sessions over approximately six to eight weeks.
This option allows us to move beyond immediate questions and begin working with the deeper patterns in your creative practice. Together we can explore your work, develop new directions, and create meaningful momentum.
Creative Alliance
$1,500 (Three Months)
A sustained mentoring relationship for artists seeking ongoing support and thoughtful accountability.
Includes:
• Nine one-hour sessions (approximately three per month)
• Light email support between sessions for questions, reflections, or feedback
• Space for integration between meetings so insights have time to become embodied in practice
This is less about solving isolated problems and more about accompanying the long, often nonlinear process of becoming the artist you are here to be.
Is This Right for You?
My approach is thoughtful, conversational, and deeply attentive. I tend to work best with people who are genuinely curious, committed to their practice, and willing to engage both the practical and inner dimensions of creative work.
If you're wondering whether we're a good fit, send me a note. I'm always happy to begin with a conversation.
