A Solar Year is a year-long, site-responsive project centered on the construction of an enclosed observational chamber designed to register the movement of sunlight across the seasons. Through photography, video, and direct engagement with light, the work reflects on our relationship to the sun—without which life on earth would not endure—while extending an ongoing inquiry into light as both material presence and sacred ground.
